Abstract

The Front Cover shows the process of in vitro selection to create more efficient DNA-ligating DNAzymes. As they explain in their Research Article (DOI: 10.1002/chem.202502788), using a pre-structured library derived from an existing DNAzyme, Y. Li and co-workers performed ten rounds of in vitro selection and discovered new DNAzymes with enhanced DNA-ligation activity. Through a complementary chemical screening approach, they also developed more stable DNA substrates, improving the overall efficiency and robustness of DNA ligation, a critical process for applications such as digital DNA data storage.
