Abstract
ON THE BACK COVER: Spindle assembled around sperm chromosomes in Xenopus egg extracts in the presence of a mutant TPX2 protein (X. laevis) that enhances microtubule nucleation, leading to disruption of spindle poles and the formation of ectopic microtubule asters.
