Abstract

Successful implementation of rapid on‐site evaluation in low‐ and middle‐income countries requires a multicomponent intervention that addresses multiple critical barriers. Although innovative solutions, including novel devices and leapfrogging technologies, will be needed to address the myriad barriers to high‐quality pathology services, a multidisciplinary approach, equitable partnerships in global health, and research driven by pathologists in low‐ and middle‐income countries are also essential to address these complex problems in patient care.
