Abstract

The Front Cover illustrates flux-synthesized Ni-doped beryl crystals. Among the synthesized samples, the most prominent optical characteristic of Ni-beryl is its pronounced dichroism, appearing as moss green or deep yellow when viewed in the m-plane or c-plane, respectively. More information can be found in the Research Article by D. Kozaki and co-workers (DOI: 10.1002/ejic.70180).
