Abstract

The Front Cover highlights two simple, complementary methods to form Se-perfluoroalkyl bonds from organodiselenides and perfluoroalkyl iodides. Visible-light irradiation or a rapid dark KOH protocol yields selenoethers efficiently, without metals or catalysts and under mild conditions. The methods show high chemoselectivity, functional-group tolerance, late-stage applicability, and gram-scale scalability. More information can be found in the Research Article by A. Postigo, S. Barata-Vallejo and co-workers (DOI: 10.1002/ejoc.202500902).
