Known for its striking mountain landscapes and biodiversity, it provides essential ecosystem services such as water regulation and climate resilience. Integrated into the UNESCO Atlantic Forest Biosphere Reserve, the park fosters sustainable development through ecotourism and community initiatives, linking conservation with cultural values and local livelihoods (Alves et al.; https://doi.org/10.1002/fee.70017).
