Abstract

Hagerty BL, Fekrmandi F, Schneider T, et al. Chemotherapy switch for nonresponse or progression on neoadjuvant chemotherapy for pancreatic adenocarcinoma. J Surg Oncol. 2024; 130: 1014-1022. doi:10.1002/jso.27803. In paragraph 2 of the Evaluation of Chemotherapy Switch section within Results, the p-value of the log rank (Mantel-Cox test) comparing overall survival of the chemotherapy switch cohort to the non-chemotherapy switch cohort should be listed as 0.917 in the text as it is in Figure 4. Corrected paragraph: Subsequent response to therapy and treatment course was statistically similar in both groups. In the CS cohort 4 patients (30.8%) experienced a subsequent biochemical response compared to 7 patients (22.6%) in the non-CS cohort (p = 0.421). However, only 4 (30.4%) patients in the CS group underwent resection compared to 18 (58.1%) of patients in the non-CS group (p = 0.110). Of those who did not proceed to resection in the CS cohort, 6 (46.2%) were due to metastatic progression and 3 (23.1%) were due to local tumor progression. 8 (25.8%) patients in the non-CS cohort experienced metastatic progression during their neoadjuvant treatment course. In both cohorts, half of the patients who underwent resection had evidence of at least partial response on their resected specimens (Table 3). Finally, we compared the overall survival of those who underwent CS and those who did not. Despite apparent differences in tumor biology and course of treatment, overall survival was not statistically different between the two groups. Median overall survival of the CS cohort was 20.7 months compared to 28.7 months in the non-CS cohort (HR 1.047 for CS, p = 0.917) (Figure 4). We apologize for this error.
