Direct Laser Writing 3D Carbon Dot Array for Orbital Angular Momentum Holographic Encryption (Laser Photonics Rev. 20(1)/2026)
Abstract
Carbon-Dot-Enabled Holographic Encryption In Research Article e01648, Xinyuan Fang, Qiming Zhang, Min Gu and co-workers demonstrate the construction of a direct laser writing 3D carbon dot array for orbital angular momentum holographic encryption. Leveraging the photoluminescence responses of carbon dots and the theoretically unlimited helical mode indices of orbital angular momentum beams, this system enables high-security and high-capacity all-optical encryption without the need for additional digital post-processing. This work offers a novel strategy for all-optical encryption based on nanophotonic devices and advances the development of optical encryption techniques utilizing the orbital angular momentum dimension of light.
