Subwavelength‐Resolution Terahertz Hologram with Arbitrary Curved Trajectory and Customized Polarization Structures (Laser Photonics Rev. 20(1)/2026)
Abstract
Subwavelength-Resolution Terahertz Holography In Research Article e02169, Liang Wu, Yan Zhang, Li Li, Jianquan Yao, and co-workers demonstrate a terahertz metalens holography platform that uses all-dielectric metasurfaces to overcome the diffraction limit. It enables subwavelength-resolution holograms with arbitrary 3D trajectories and customized polarization states by independently controlling orthogonally polarized wavefronts. This approach achieves super-resolution imaging and polarization-structured wavefront control, showing great potential for advanced terahertz communications and imaging systems. The cover image shows a schematic of the metalens for creating a subwavelength-resolution terahertz hologram with arbitrary curved trajectories and customized polarization structures.
