Abstract

ABSTRACT Ti 3 C 2 T x MXene shows significant potential in the field of electromagnetic wave absorption; however, the wave absorption performance was hindered due to the impedance mismatch, which was caused by its inherent high dielectric constant. In this work, Ti 3 C 2 T x MXene co‐assembled with molybdenum disulfide nanosheets and carbon coating layers (MXene/MoS 2 @C) was constructed via a simple one‐pot hydrothermal method. This uniquely designed structure features a large number of heterogeneous interfaces and sulfur vacancies. Through optimizing impedance matching and introducing multiple electromagnetic wave loss mechanisms, including multiple internal reflections, conductive losses, interface polarization, and dipole polarization, the gradual dissipation of energy was achieved. Ultimately, the MXene/MoS 2 @C composites demonstrated outstanding electromagnetic wave absorption performance, achieving a maximum effective absorption bandwidth (EAB) of 6.64 GHz at a thickness of 2.6 mm. Besides, the practicability of the MXene/MoS 2 @C composites was proved by the radar scattering cross‐sectional (RCS) emulation. Furthermore, this MXene/MoS 2 @C composite material exhibits excellent heat insulation properties and can maintain stable and reliable microwave absorption performance in high‐temperature environments, providing a certain potential solution for the field of infrared stealth. This straightforward, structurally designed strategy with defect engineering lights up the road for developing high‐performance Ti 3 C 2 T x MXene‐based electromagnetic wave absorbers.
