Prescribed Performance FTC of Switched Nonlinear Systems With Multiple Uncertainties Under Arbitrary Switching
Abstract
ABSTRACT This article investigates the prescribed performance fault‐tolerant control (FTC) for a class of strict‐feedback switched systems with actuator dead zones under arbitrary switching. Unlike most studies on switching systems with input power of one, the power of the system studied in this article has an unknown constant greater than one, which causes a challenge in the design of control strategy. Based on the neural network approximation technique and backstepping method, an adaptive prescribed performance FTC strategy is proposed in this work. Compared with traditional control results for switching systems, the control strategy developed in this work not only eliminates the assumption that the system's power is one, but also ensures that the tracking error can converge to the interval set in advance within a preset time, and the preset time and interval can be arbitrarily set by the designer. Furthermore, for switched nonlinear systems, the feasibility of the classical control method depends on a necessary assumption condition that the neural network approximation must be faster than the mode switching, the control strategy proposed in this article eliminates this condition, which means that the control method has greater application potential. Finally, a numerical example is used to illustrate the effectiveness of control strategy.
