L‐Histidine‐Controlled Synthesis of Hierarchical HZSM‐5 Zeolite with Excellent Stability and Propylene Selectivity for 1‐Butene Catalytic Cracking
Abstract
ABSTRACT Hierarchical zeolites as catalysts are widely used in petrochemical industry due to their excellent diffusion ability and catalytic performance. Here, hierarchical ZSM‐5 zeolites with isolated mesopores were successfully prepared by adding L‐histidine in the precursors. The effects of L‐histidine contents and H 2 O/Si ratio on ZSM‐5 zeolites in terms of crystallinity, morphology, porosity, and acidity were investigated in detail. The catalytic cracking of 1‐butene was conducted to evaluate the catalytic performance of different ZSM‐5 zeolites. Compared to the conventional nano ZSM‐5 zeolites (HZ5‐0), the hierarchical ZSM‐5 zeolites (HZ5‐0.9‐5) exhibited higher selectivity of ethylene plus propylene at all reaction temperatures (450°C—550°C). The highest selectivity of ethylene plus propylene over HZ5‐0.9‐5 zeolite could reach to 62.3% at 550°C. And the highest propylene to ethylene (P/E) ratio could be also obtained over HZ5‐0.9‐5 zeolite at 450°C.
