Abstract

Figure 1A, which showed the TEM images of the nanoparticles used in the original article, did not correspond to the nanoparticle batch employed in the reported experiments, but to samples from a different synthesis batch with nearly identical morphology and size. These samples were prepared under similar synthesis conditions, showing only minimal variations in their structural properties. The corrected Figure 1A now includes the TEM images corresponding precisely to the nanoparticle batch used in the therapeutic experiments described in the article.Importantly, while Figure 1A has been corrected, Figure 1B did not require modification, as it originally presented data from the correct nanoparticle batches. The correct sphere-equivalent diameters are d total = 23.2 ± 2.9 nm for Fe(16)@Au, and d total = 35.8± 5.0 nm for Fe(20)@Au, in agreement with the histograms shown in Figure S1.The first value was incorrectly indicated in the original article and in Table S3.We sincerely apologize for this oversight. This correction does not affect the results, analyses, or conclusions presented in the article.
