Abstract

Bioprinting In Research Article e09654, Shan-hui Hsu and co-workers feature the 3D bioprinting of neural brain-like tissue using biomimetic self-healing hydrogels, achieved by stacking lyotropic liquid crystal micellar structures. Advanced synchrotron X-ray and neutron scattering techniques are utilized to non-destructively characterize the nanoscale strain-induced structural evolution. The work bridges the gap between innovative biomaterials design and functional neural tissue engineering.
