The Veterinary Management Group (VMG) has launched an Introduction to Veterinary Leadership and Management (iVLM) course, providing entry-level leadership training for those new to management roles in the veterinary sector.The level 3 programme covers leadership theory, emotional intelligence, communication, motivation and workplace wellbeing, and includes a short quiz at the end of the module.The course offers a pathway to the VMG's 'qualified veterinary leader' programme, which includes the VMG/Institute of Leadership and Management level 5 award, certificate (CVLM), and diploma in veterinary leadership and management.Alongside the new course, the VMG has updated 10 stand-alone CPD modules, each providing 25 hours of study aligned to level 5, aimed at developing specific leadership skills.Topics include understanding leadership styles, navigating team communication and supporting wellbeing.
