Authors: Since November 2025, several severe outbreaks of mannheimiosis affecting adult dairy cattle have been diagnosed at Surveillance Pathology Centres. In one case investigated at Shrewsbury Veterinary Investigation Centre (VIC), 36 cows were affected from 240 in the herd, 18 of which died or were euthanased. Another outbreak in a larger dairy herd affected around 200 cows with 31 deaths.
