R17—Nonlinear Pushover Analysis for Tsunami
Abstract
Abstract The use of structural analysis methodologies is fundamental to assess the vulnerability of buildings for tsunami loading due to the scarcity of empirical data. This recipe presents a novel engineering method, namely the Variable Depth Pushover (VDPO) analysis. This approach is used to generate tsunami analytical fragility functions, as well as to support tsunami performance-based design methodologies.
