Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this recipe is to provide a classification of existing buildings in Italy based on their physical vulnerability to tsunami loads. This method for large-scale (i.e., urban or regional scale) tsunami vulnerability assessment is an essential tool for tsunami loss analysis, risk management and for prioritizing interventions to protect the built environment.
