Abstract

This verse is taken from ‘Sonny’s Lettah (Anti-Sus Poem)’, written and performed by Linton Kwesi Johnson for his 1979 dub poetry album Forces of Victory . Born in Jamaica in 1952, Johnson moved to England at the age of eleven to live with his mother in the London district of Brixton.
