Abstract

The construction of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) can involve various complex disciplines, such as fluid mechanics, strength of materials, fluid-structure interaction, design, lightweight construction, control and regulation, programming, testing and project management based on a specific object. It is also difficult to up- or downscale the size of the rotor blades geometrically and expect comparable physical results. An important factor for modern UAVs is the duration of flight. This depends not only on the battery capacity but also on the efficiency of the propeller’s rotor blades. Different ambient temperatures can also influence its behavior and flight duration.
