Abstract

Our modern world is moving closer to pervasive networking and the Internet of Everything. TCP/IP networks represent the predominant networking paradigm, featuring a layered architecture that stands as a benchmark for industrial software design. Its smooth implementation on UNIX systems has played a pivotal role in Internet growth and catalyzed modern OSs to integrate extensive network connectivity features and management utilities.
