Beyond the sum of its parts: a scoping review on complex mental health care needs
Abstract
Already in 1971, Tudor Hart formulated the inverse care law, stating that “the availability of good medical care tends to vary inversely with the need for it in the population served” 1 . In mental health care, this seems to be specifically the case for those with more complex care needs, for whom a mental health issue is at play alongside concurrent difficulties in other life domains.
