Abstract

Abstract objectives 1) to show that useful standardized vocabularies (taxonomies) can emerge from project results and support both the interoperability and identification of gaps in domain knowledge; 2) to visualize which organizations are working on what topic areas and discover how well connected projects across different disciplinary domains are; and 3) to show that a shared understanding of different interpretations of language and terminology can add value to the research, policy or practice. The study will illustrate how taxonomy mapping and visualization can advance findable, accessible, interoperable, reusable (FAIR) and actionable climate knowledge for enhanced climate action by decision-makers, planners, researchers, policy makers, and others concerned in a robust yet dynamic way.
