Abstract

The objective of this study was to evaluate the response of enriched filter cake application onsoil fertility, agronomic productivity and physiological response in different sugarcane development cycles. The study examined the effects of filter cake enriched with gypsum, phosphate, bagasse and MAP, as well as their combination, applied at the bottom of the furrow at the time of sugarcane planting. The results showed that the enriched filter cake had a residual effect in the first ratoon, increasing the tillers and internodes. The third ratoon presented sugarcane productivity values higher than the other crop cycles. The treatments based on cake + bagasse (T5), cake + MAP + bagasse (T8) and cake + phosphate + bagasse (T11) favored the increase in crop productivity in the third ratoon. In addition, gas exchanges were greater in the plant cane than in the first ratoon. A residual effect on soil nutrient concentrations was also observed. The results of this research have significant potential implications for sugarcane production and soil management practices.
