The electrochemical sensor Au@MOF-79 toward the quercetin detection in seawater
Abstract
Abstract A gold-doped Ti-MOF-97 has been prepared and used as an electrochemical sensor for the detection toward quercetin in seawater. It would be beneficial to reduce its side effects on the ecology, if quercetin as a widely used pharmaceutical can be detected by simple methods in the environmental water system. To achieve this goal, a novel composite Au@MOF-79 is as-synthesized and analyzed by scanning electron microscope, high resolution transmission electron microscope, X-ray diffraction and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The Au@MOF-79 is coated on glassy carbon electrode to generate the modified electrode Au@MOF-79/GCE which reveals high performance in the accurate detection for quercetin through DPV (Differential voltammetry pulse) method with a good linear range from 3.04×10− 5 to 11.96×10− 4 M. Further results indicate its fine sensitivity, high stability and good reproducibility in seawater.
