Abstract

Primary lymphoma of the colon is very rare, representing less than 0.5% of all colonic malignancies1. Among non-Hodgkin lymphomas (NHL), Mucosa-Associated Lymphoid Tissue Lymphoma (MALT)/Extranodal Marginal Zone B-cell Lymphomas (EMZL) constitute approximately 5% of cases, with the stomach being the most commonly involved site and serving as the prototype of this subtype2. In contrast, primary colonic MALT lymphoma is uncommon, accounting for only about 2.5% of all MALT lymphomas3.
