Abstract

We construct and study a new invariant, the monodromy divisor, attached to a smooth exact Lagrangian subvariety inside the cotangent bundle of a smooth affine variety. This invariant lives in a group of Q / Z -valued divisors and reflects subtle arithmetic properties of the Lagrangian.
