Abstract

The Fe-phthalocyanine metal–organic framework (FePc-MOF) is theoretically predicted to belong to the Lieb or fes lattice groups, which are among the least studied Dirac materials. In this study, we observed the density of states of the FePc-MOF using ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy (UPS) using synchrotron radiation. Since the synthesized FePc-MOF consisted of flake-like crystal grains, the energy-band structure, assumed to be a monolayer structure, provided a good explanation for the observed UPS results. The simulated energy-band structure exhibited a strong resemblance to that of the fes lattice.
