Nitrous oxide and mood: metabolic mechanisms letter in response to Gill et al
Abstract
Although Nitrous Oxide (N2O) demonstrates rapid antidepressant effects at 2 and 24 h post-inhalation, I am surprised that Gill et al.1 would contemplate utilising long-term N2O for MDD or TRD, even for a few weeks with such a dangerous agent of abuse.
