Abstract

• Reveal the nonlinear variation pattern of energy storage station efficiency under power-temperature coupling. • Establish a quantitative analysis model for the dynamic energy consumption of the thermal management system. • Propose a synergistic optimization strategy for power and temperature to achieve dual improvement in both efficiency and revenue To address the systemic inadequacies and limited practicality of energy consumption modelling in existing research on the optimization of energy storage station operation, this paper proposes an economic operation optimization strategy for independent energy storage stations that accounts for the dynamic energy consumption constraints of main and auxiliary equipment. First, a station-level model of main equipment charging or discharging efficiency is developed to account for variations in charging or discharging power and temperature settings. Furthermore, based on the principle of thermal balance, an energy consumption model for the thermal management system is established. This model is then integrated with the operational and standby energy consumption of other auxiliary equipment, forming a comprehensive dynamic model of auxiliary equipment energy consumption. On this basis, with the objective of maximizing net revenue and accounting for operational constraints such as charging and discharging power and SOC, an economic operation strategy model is proposed for station operators to achieve synergistic optimization of comprehensive energy efficiency and economic performance in energy storage stations. Finally, the simulation results demonstrate that, compared with the traditional operation strategy, the proposed optimal operation strategy can significantly enhance the comprehensive efficiency of the energy storage station while simultaneously increasing revenue.
