Abstract

Risk-reducing (RR) surgeries and surveillance interventions in women with germline pathogenic variants (PV) in breast cancer predisposition genes include RR mastectomy (RRM), RR salpingo-oophorectomy (RRSO), enhanced breast imaging (breast MRI), and pancreatic cancer surveillance (endoscopic ultrasound [EUS] and/or MR cholangiopancreatography [MRCP]). We assessed use of RR interventions in women with PV in high/moderate risk breast cancer genes (ATM, BARD1, BRCA1/2, CDH1, CHEK2, NF1, PALB2, PTEN, RAD51C/D, STK11 and TP53).
