Abstract

• Placental site trophoblastic tumors (PSTT) express programmed cell death ligand 1 (PD-L1) making them an ideal target for programmed cell death receptor 1 (PD-1) and PD-L1 inhibitors. • In a patient with PSTT desirous of fertility-sparing treatment, a complete response with PD-1 inhibition has been demonstrated with sustained response. • Despite the potential toxicity of PD-1 inhibition, there is potential for significant benefit, especially in the absence of alternative fertility-sparing treatment options for patients with PSTT.
