Abstract

ABSTRACT Available online Oxanorbornene is a versatile building block in natural product and pharmaceutical synthesis, yet its enantioselective hydroalkylation with bridged ring retention remains underdeveloped. Herein, we report a cobalt-catalyzed enantioselective hydroalkylation of oxanorbornene. Using low-cost cobalt, no directing groups, and under mild conditions, it constructs oxabicyclic products with intact bridged rings, featuring broad substrate scope and good enantioselectivity (up to 78% yield, up to 95:5 er ).
