Leadless pacing–induced pacemaker syndrome managed with atrial leadless pacing device
Abstract
Leadless Pacing (LP) technologies have changed pacing landscape offering treatment for bradycardia patients while mitigating transvenous pacemaker pocket and lead related complications 1,2. Eighty five percent of permanent pacemakers (PPM) implanted in United States between 1993 and 2009 where dual chamber where the remainder were single chamber 3. Maintaining Atrio-ventricular (AV) synchrony through a ventricular LP device is feasible using accelerometer-based mechanical atrial sensing (Micra AV1&2 by Medtronic) 4.
