Abstract

The PulseSelect (Medtronic, Inc.) is a pulsed field ablation (PFA) catheter with a circular array of 9 electrodes to achieve pulmonary vein isolation (PVI) for atrial fibrillation (AF).1 In addition to its intended use, the catheter’s ability to have different shaping configurations has enabled creative use beyond PVI. Extending the circular array catheter into an “S-shape” configuration has been reported to be feasible for mapping the superior vena cava (SVC)2 and treat non-pulmonary vein (non-PV) foci, such as the cavotricuspid isthmus.
