Abstract

Sarcoidosis is a multisystem, inflammatory granulomatous disease of unknown etiology. Patients with clinically manifest cardiac sarcoidosis (CS) commonly present with advanced conduction system disease. Current guidelines advise permanent pacing for these patients, and it is further recommended that they receive implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs) because of the risk of sudden cardiac death.(1) However, there are no recommendations on when to implant cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT).
