Abstract

The Type I Brugada pattern—characterized by a coved ST-segment elevation ≥2 mm followed by a negative T-wave in the right precordial leads—is the only diagnostic ECG pattern for Brugada syndrome. This pattern often requires ECG recordings from high precordial leads (2nd and 3rd intercostal spaces) to be unmasked. Furthermore, the dynamic nature of this electrocardiographic alteration frequently renders the pattern non-evident.
