Power control of wind/storage unit under consideration of energy schedulability
Abstract
• “One machine, one storage” plan tracking via improved droop-controlled storage under load and wind speed fluctuations. • To track maximum wind energy capture, a novel switching variable converter control method is proposed in rotor DPC. • The sag coefficient between power variation and DC-side voltage variation is researched. Focusing on wind generation plan adaptive adjustment and supply–demand balance, the double-fed induction generator (DFIG) off-grid control technology under the scenarios of load and wind speed fluctuations is proposed. ‘One machine, one storage’ plan tracking and control technology is researched. Firstly, the stator-side power calculation method is optimized, and the integration of virtual flux technology effectively enables lightweight sensing. Secondly, to track maximum wind energy capture, a novel switching-table inverter control method is adopted in the rotor direct power control (DPC) technique, enhancing system anti-interference capability. Additionally, an improved droop control-based energy storage method is proposed, determining the droop coefficient between power changes and DC-side voltage variations to achieve controlled energy storage charging and discharging. Finally, the feasibility of the proposed control method is verified based on Matlab/Simulink platform design and DPC model construction, the voltage recovery time is reduced by 35.9%, and the active power fluctuations decrease by 65%.
