Optimal configuration of user-side shared energy storage considering demand declaration and variable lifetime
Abstract
The integration of renewable energy generation, including energy storage systems, is gradually transforming energy users into prosumers. Meanwhile, the shared energy storage can improve the economic efficiency of power systems, and the two-part tariff policy applicable to industrial users further broadens the shared energy storage revenue sources. This paper proposes a cooperative configuration method for the industrial user-side shared energy storage, incorporating both different demand declaration scenarios and variable lifetime. Firstly, a novel shared energy storage optimization framework considering demand declaration is proposed to address the worst-case scenario scheduling under different types of transformer–industrial prosumer- shared energy storage topologies. Secondly, a robust two-layer configuration model of the shared energy storage is established, considering normal operational planning and power support under monthly extreme scenarios. In this model, the shared energy storage lifetime is regarded as a variable based on the degradation function. Then, a cooperative shared energy storage configuration model of multiple industrial prosumers is formulated using a generalized Nash Bargaining game. The shared energy storage utilization rate and peak shaving rate are utilized to determine the bargaining power of each user in multi-transformer topologies, avoiding equal distribution that overlooks actual contributions. The original model containing uncertain variables is reformulated as a mixed integer linear programming problem, and the nonlinear energy storage lifetime parameters are optimized using the iterative method. The case study demonstrates that the proposed model can effectively reduce energy consumption costs while mitigating extreme load peaks under single-transformer and multi-transformer system structures.
