Abstract

mutants in organizing ER sites for SE-rich LD formation. Remarkably, Are1 and Are2, yeast enzymes catalyzing SEs, become enriched at Sei1 sites, suggesting localized SE production. Collectively, we propose a model in which SE-rich LDs originate from the Sei1-complex, at which distinct classes of factors and/or lipids get recruited.
