Surgical Repair of Multiple Coronary Artery Aneurysms With Multivessel Coronary Disease
Abstract
BACKGROUND: Coronary artery aneurysm is a rare form of coronary artery disease and needs to be treated by individualized therapy. CASE SUMMARY: A 66-year-old man experienced repeated chest distress for 6 months. He was diagnosed as having multiple coronary artery aneurysms along with severe coronary artery disease. We report the surgical strategy and medical treatment details based on multi-omics sequencing results. DISCUSSION: Multiple coronary artery aneurysms with complicated coronary artery disease in a single patient is rare. The choice of different techniques in surgical treatment should be based on the lesion position, relationship with surrounding tissues, and revascularization strategy of the coronary vessels. This case also highlights the perioperative treatment using modern medical techniques. TAKE-HOME MESSAGES: Surgical treatment is still the first-line therapy for multiple and giant coronary artery aneurysm. Individualized therapy during the follow-up period is necessary for good clinical outcomes.
