Bilateral vitelliform maculopathy in a patient with melanoma
Abstract
A 56-year-old man presented with a 1-month history of bilateral blurred vision. Two months prior, he was diagnosed with stage IV melanoma harbouring a BRAF V600E mutation. Since then, he has been treated with dabrafenib and trametinib, a BRAF/MEK inhibitor combination therapy. Best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA) was 20/100 bilaterally. Fundus examination revealed bilateral serous retinal detachment involving the macula. Vitelliform material settled inferiorly within the detachment and along the superior vascular arcades (Figure 1A, arrow).
