Abstract

As our knowledge of liquid biopsy (LB) continues to grow and evolve, its significance across the cancer care continuum becomes increasingly clear (1). LB offers a non-invasive snapshot of disease status and serves as a promising tool for prognostic stratification. Minimal residual disease (MRD) assessment detection in lung cancer can help in providing prognostic information and a potential surrogate endpoint in oncology clinical trials (2–4). In this year’s European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO) Annual Congress, LB was prominently featured with more than 350 abstracts and multiple dedicated oral sessions investigating its clinical utility across various solid tumor types.
