Abstract

Reverse total shoulder arthroplasty (rTSA) has provided a predictable surgical solution to restore arm elevation in patients with glenohumeral arthritis in the setting rotator cuff deficiency. However, in active individuals whose function relies heavily on shoulder motion, combined loss of elevation and external rotation (CLEER) has posed a significant challenge to address surgically. Tears involving the infraspinatus and teres minor specifically can hinder active external rotation (ER) of the shoulder and significantly limit activities of daily living (ADLs).
