Bleeding and Thrombosis Following Initiation of Antithrombotic Therapy for Iliac Vein Stenting
Abstract
Antithrombotic therapy is routinely prescribed following iliac vein stenting (IVS) with significant variations in type and duration. In the absence of prospective trials, the risks and benefits of different regimens remain elusive. This study aimed to evaluate the long-term risks of bleeding, venous thrombosis, and arterial thrombosis in patients undergoing IVS for nonthrombotic iliac vein lesions (NIVL) compared with those treated for post-thrombotic syndrome (PTS).
