Outcomes of Patients With Submassive Pulmonary Embolism at a Level 1 Trauma Center After Establishment of a PERT
Abstract
Pulmonary embolism (PE) remains the leading cause of preventable hospital death. Despite the clinical significance, guidelines that mirror clinical practice for PE interventions are lacking. We report on the impact of a PE response team (PERT) on the outcomes of patients with PEs at a level 1 trauma center.
