Visual perception analysis of Yanji streetscape using eye-tracking technology
Abstract
This study focuses on the streetscapes of Yanji as its subject of investigation. It methodically examines the visual perception attributes and preferences of urban spatial components by integrating eye-tracking technology with subjective assessment. Five core elements, namely buildings, streets, greenery, landscape nodes, and landmark, were selected to construct visual stimulus materials containing 15 sets of typical scenes. The attention allocation and visual exploration patterns of 62 subjects were recorded using EyeSo Ec30 eye-tracker. The exploration pattern was supplemented with a two-dimensional questionnaire (design aesthetics and perception dimensions, functional and environmental dimensions) to obtain a subjective evaluation. (2) Internet-famous destination and gazebo achieve visual compensation effect in the low green environment through spatial innovation, and their proportion of fixation time and aesthetic appeal score are significantly higher than that of standardized commercial landmarks; (3) Street advertisements, signage, and ethnic architecture interface in the landscape form visual competition, and the core attraction of plants elements in street trees verifies the key regulatory role of ecological design on urban imagery.
