Matrix pencils completions of size two
Abstract
We give a solution to the general matrix pencil completion problem of size two, i.e. we describe the full set of Kronecker invariants of a pencil with a prescribed subpencil when their ranks and dimensions differ by two. This is a generalisation of the Sá-Thompson's theorem for matrix pencils for the case of simultaneous two rows and two columns completion.
