Abstract

Cohort studies have proven to be invaluable for understanding the complex interplay between environmental factors, genetic susceptibility, and disease outcomes. Over the past two decades, China has been committed to close international collaboration and established several world-leading large population cohorts,1 including nation-wide studies such as the China Kadoorie Biobank (CKB) with 510,000 participants and regional studies like the Taizhou Longitudinal Study comprising 200,000 individuals.
