Response surface methodology (RSM) directed extraction and metabolomics-based analysis of bioactive phenolics in different varieties of Actinidia arguta
Abstract
The Actinidia arguta is rich in nutrients and has a pleasant taste, making it widely loved by people. This study optimized the extraction process of total phenolic compounds from Actinidia arguta using the response surface methodology. Among the five commonly cultivated Actinidia arguta varieties in Northeast China, two varieties with the lowest and the highest total phenolic content, "Wild-1" and "DanyangLD133", were selected for targeted metabolomics analysis. The analysis of differences in metabolites and the study of their correlations with activity indicators revealed that isorhamnetin 3-(2'-acetylglucoside) and sissotrin have an extremely significant relationship with the inhibitory ability of xanthine oxidase (XO). Molecular docking revealed that isorhamnetin 3-(2'-acetylglucoside) and Sissotrin have strong binding activity with the XO protein. The research results are expected to provide scientific basis for the selection of high-quality Actinidia arguta varieties and the development of high-value-added foods based on metabolomics.
